If you want your TV mounted in the center of a specific spot, this adapter mounting plate is the perfect solution to make that happen. It has universal holes to connect to studs, allowing you to mount your TV exactly where you want it. Please note: The Storm Shell Adapter Mounting Plate is listed as non-refundable because it is an optional accessory and not required in all installations.

We purchased the storm shell and our contractor was going to install the cabinet.
He noticed a missing part. I contacted the company and showed proof of the purchase and within the week the parts were mailed. All is good! We are enjoying having the TV outside and have it protected with the Storm Shell.
Keeps the elements out. However, for the price I would prefer it come in different colors, or at a minimum have an option to come already primed for painting.
My studs are 16" on center - but not centered between the 2 windows where the Storm Shell was placed. Without this adapter mounting plate, my TV would have been 7 inches to one window and 11 inches to the other (which my OCD would have never allowed). Now the Storm Shell/TV are both perfectly centered (9" to each window) - and I couldn't be happier.
