If you want your TV mounted in the center of a specific spot, this adapter mounting plate is the perfect solution to make that happen. It has universal holes to connect to studs, allowing you to mount your TV exactly where you want it. Please note: The Storm Shell Adapter Mounting Plate is listed as non-refundable because it is an optional accessory and not required in all installations.
I ordered it in case it was needed for the installation and it was not needed.
Adaptor Plate - do not buy this unless you are 100% sure you need it. We had enough support to hang the box without it and now we’re stuck with a $50 plate we don’t need and they won’t allow you to return. The rest of the process has been good. Ridiculous that a company that seems to have a good product doesn’t have a better return policy.
I don’t understand why it doesn’t have predrilled holes for 24 inch studs. It would be so easy to include those holes.
We purchased the storm shell and our contractor was going to install the cabinet.
He noticed a missing part. I contacted the company and showed proof of the purchase and within the week the parts were mailed. All is good! We are enjoying having the TV outside and have it protected with the Storm Shell.
Keeps the elements out. However, for the price I would prefer it come in different colors, or at a minimum have an option to come already primed for painting.
